Dear Luke Wilson,

I really wish you and your ever increasing number of chins would stop hassling me to switch to AT&T. I’m not going to. We can still make out, even though it appears you aged a lot in the past few years. Maybe I should watch more of your recent movies. Regardless please stop showing up everywhere promoting AT&T.

Time for a break from the website. I started looking at pictures from SXSW to help me fall asleep. D Ray was cold when he found us waiting for Deer Tick (after we, you know, gave all our stuff to Chris so we could get in because giving all your belongings to almost strangers is normal) and being the gentlelady I am I let him wear my sweater. A conversation shortly after went something like this:

Lady by port-o-potty: Is that your man?

MLE: No, he’s just some idiot.

A few days ago, Marts handed over his facebook to me in order to help keep him less distracted during finals. The best part of this situation is picking the most awesome password ever that he will never guess. Once it was a quote from him “I admire your beard,” another time it was “EWASTTBW” but this time I was feeling pretty nuts when I was given the keys to his life so I changed it to PIXIEDUST666.

Around this time, I also began freaking out about my website design and how the program wouldn’t open. I found out my website wasn’t due the next day so I chilled out, but spent the next 4 days flipping out trying everything imaginable to figure out how to get the program to load. I even talked to some guy in India about it for 30mins today, and after it was decided that I cannot speak clearly and we are getting married, he still had no idea how to help me. Even after I created a new account called PIXIEDUST666

I decided to try a little bit more tonight, because the thought of spending all day in the JSchool lab or library was horrible. I found some forum where a guy said Dude a lot so I thought hey, maybe this time will be different. I clicked his link and it brought me to a page I had looked at about 245 million times before. Except when I got to number seven I saw something I had not seen before on the site, only in the handouts from class: Dreamweaver HATES special characters.

It was then when I remembered my harddrive was currently called “thats because shes like///insane” because sometimes I type in the wrong places. You know what’s all up in that name? That’s right. Special Characters. I quickly changed the the name to PIXIEDUST666. I took a deep breath, told D Ray “if i just made it work i am going to shit my pants so hang on this could get messy,” and tried to open Dreamweaver one last time. And you know what? It OPENED!

I felt really smart/like a complete idiot. I did not shit my pants though. I had a cupcake instead. THANKS PIXIEDUST666!!!!!!!!

Congrats to all you folks out there who have completed your finals, projects, semesters, college careers, lives, etc. I can’t think of anything I want more right now than to fast forward through my website (due tomorrow night, and the program won’t run on my computer), paper (which I haven’t looked at seeing as I have been too busy trying to run impossible programs), and two tests (that I will probably fail/barely pass respectively because all my study time has been eaten up by a website). Unfortunately this is impossible and my next waking 72 hours will most likely be Suckfest 2009

But instead of crying I decided instead to look forward to the good things that will come Thursday night: clean slates, no classes for a month, a few days to do nothing before going home, sleeping. Oh and alcohol.

So here I am, extending an open invitation to everyone out there to join me for a beer (or whiskey/rum/vodka/gin/crack/cocaine/sugar/sex/pizza what have you) Thursday night. Whether it’s in real life or in the comfort of your own home, let’s all forget about the past 4 months, together.
